Duration is increasing
Modo Energy reported the average duration of the GB fleet rising to 1.65 hours in mid 2026. Longer duration systems change revenue strategy, warranty structures and the commercial skills owners need.
Connection positions are scarce
Following connections reform, a protected or Gate 2 connection is often the most valuable thing a project owns, and must be managed actively for years.
Utility scale projects reward leaders who think about operation from the first day of development. Decisions on layout, duration, supplier and connection shape revenues for fifteen years or more.
